About me!

Welcome! My name is Kate Brown and I am a fourth year Health Promotion major at the University of Georgia, with minors in Biology and Health Policy & Management. I am on the Pre-Dental track and will be attending Augusta University’s Medical Physiology Master’s Program in the Fall of 2026. I chose to enroll in a master’s program prior to dental school to strengthen my science background and be better prepared for the rigor of dental school’s curriculum.

I am passionate about analyzing oral health disparities in rural areas and also in the correlation between periodontal health and dementia. I am also interested in oral anatomy and neuromuscular coordination, and how speech is connected to oral health. I aim to pursue research studies, to help improve the dental care for everyone.
